Facebook

Join our new page on Facebook, Navy Wife in Japan. This page is where you can directly talk to other Navy wives and family members about the questions you have. You can also find links to the newest guest posts to the blog. If you would like to post pictures to the blog just use the hashtag #navywifeinjapan. Eventually, I will be looking for people to help with the blog on a more full time basis.

Please email submissions for a guest post to navywifeinjapan@gmail.com.

Would You Like to Write a Guest Post?

As anyone reading this blog lately is aware, I haven't been posting in the last few years. A lot of things have changed for me. My husband is no longer in the Navy and we are back to living in California. We now have two twin three year old boys. Talk about changes. Recently I was talking to a friend about the Navy and I decided to check my email for this blog, wow, was there a back log of messages. To those that emailed me long ago, I am sorry for not responding in a timely manner. Life just got crazy. Reading those emails made realize that the lack of information that I ran into while my husband was in the Navy still persists. Since I am now a wife of a former Navy man I am looking for people to write guest posts. I will be editing and supervising the blog. If you would like to submit a post for the Navy Wife in Japan blog, please email me at navywifeinjapan@gmail.com with the following information: Your name, yours or your spouses rate and rank, your current station, and the body of your article. If you have pictures that you would like added to your post please include a link or attach them to your email. I will respond to all submissions and if your post is selected to be posted on the blog I will let you know through another email.

Subjects I am currently looking for include:
-Saving money at the commissary
-The Navy Lodge
-Japanese Customs
-Activites in Japan
-Having Children in Japan
-Traveling with children
-Paperwork
-Pets in Japan

If you have an idea for a post, write it out and send it to me. I am open to all ideas.

I am also starting a Navy Wife in Japan Facebook page. I will post details in the next few days with information on that.

The best resources when it comes to information about day to day life of a Navy wife, is other Navy wives. Lets work together to help each other out!
